It's hard to describe a place like Morocco after only being there a few weeks. For a start the tradition & extent of tile & mosaic work is wonderful. Also street art, history and culture. There is a lot to explore.
It was a fun morning making mosaics with future members of the Bozeman High School Art Club. Always inspiring to see what the same materials can do in different hands.
Saturday November 1st was National Bison Day. I had a great time watching Ben Pease quickdraw at the votebison.org event in Bozeman.
Vote for representation and Vote for Bison. It's a great country. The chickens are laying eggs to match my kitchen. Or I remodeled the kitchen to match the eggs?
(Handmade tiles & egg dish by me. Soapstone counters). The Paintbrush is in. Another gorgeous McPhie Cabinetry kitchen. And the outside was as stunning as inside; But what makes me really happy is; the mosaic matches the red knobs on the Wolf cooktop! (this is how we go from the studio to the site).
Moving right along on the Drinking Fountain. The mosaic base is almost ready for the bronze frog.
There will be a party on the 4th October. Please come! |
