About Sarah
Sarah Anderson was born in New Zealand in 1968. After graduating from the University of Auckland, she traveled extensively, spending time in Africa and living in London, England between adventures. Returning to New Zealand to study photography, she began to focus her energy on the visual and practical arts.
More travel resulted in a longer term move to the United States with her partner, arriving in Montana in 1996. While exploring the medium of clay for the first time she realized the potential of combining the creative with the functional, and began the process of learning to make tiles.
All tile related endeavors have kept her occupied since, including more research in mosaics with further travel to conferences, workshops and mosaic-rich countries.
Sarah is a member of the National Tile Contractors Association and the Society of American Mosaic Artists.
