faq

  1. How much does a custom Thirsty Lake Tileworks piece cost?

Your costs are determined by four main factors: design, materials, complexity of production, and installation. Accent pieces begin at $50. A 2’ x 2’ inlay for an entry way may start at $500. A large backsplash may run $6000. As each piece is a unique design based on the client’s vision and needs, I will provide an itemized estimate after discussing the project with you.

  2. Does Sarah Anderson do any tile and mosaic work outside of northwest Montana?

I enjoy working with clients across the US and abroad to design accent pieces, floor inlays and other types of custom work. Most pieces are produced in the Thirsty Lake Tileworks studio and then transported to your home or business for final installation by myself or another qualified professional.

  3. Does the client need to provide a design or does Sarah Anderson prefer doing only her own creations?

I enjoy working with clients to ensure a final installation that suits their taste, the location and budget. You can certainly bring a design idea or I can create one after talking with you. I will help clients understand how the materials will capture their ideas.

  4. Is it possible to replace an existing floor or back-splash with a Thirsty Lake Tileworks design?

Yes! I enjoy helping clients make their individual space more beautiful. You or your contractor are responsible for preparing the substrate which I can explain about in more detail after looking at your site.
