The Book Bench is in Missoula for the Festival of the Book. It will be auctioned to benefit Humanities Montana this weekend at the Holiday Inn. I can't wait to see it again!
There are lily pads & lotus flowers in the studio; And a frog in Beall Park, just waiting to come together!
Just in time for snow, the final supporters tiles were installed.
Thanks to everyone involved; I hope the drinking fountain will be loved for many years. We got the drinking fountain installed in time for the SLAM festival. It looks fantastic!
& it is functional! Much love all around. Still have some of the supporters tiles to engrave and install. It is a perfect addition to a great park in the middle of a hot hot summer. This is how it looks in my backyard. The granite tiles are available for supporters to purchase & will be engraved. The foundation is ready & I am on schedule to install next week.
This is the first quarter of a 10' (3m) diameter base for a drinking fountain that will be installed in a local park. I am pre-casting the pebble-mosaic-concrete slabs off site. They will cure nice & slowly & then the whole installation can go in at once, in late july/early august. Which is why you haven't heard from me lately...
This was a lovely 5th grade legacy project with the students at Longfellow school in Bozeman.
Facilitated by Salal Huber-McGee (r), the kids made tiles which were then cast in bronze & formed into the base by Mitch Billis (l). I made a few ceramic tiles (mostly birds & fish) & helped them mosaic the globe; We all had a great time & think the result is brilliant! Check it out on South Tracy, in front of the south entrance. |
