Messing around with colours and materials for a design proposal. I always love the brilliance of glass (smalti) with the richness of stone (travertine). & letters edged in copper! Wow, I hope I get to do the large scale version.

There is still a hand held shower to install & the glass. I love the lack of kerb on the shower. Also happy with the way the vanity came out - it is half of a vintage dining table with a seafoam limestone top.
The mosaic can be removed if the owner ever sells the house (it won't be easy but I try to think of everything!). Just a little grout & the cherry tree will be ready to go to Missoula. On thursday the 14th I will be at the studio from 3 to 6pm for anyone who wants to stop by & see it. 435 E Main Street in the McPhie Cabinetry Showroom.
Call me at 406.249.8747 if you can't make it at that time & we will arrange another, or wait & see it in Plonk whilst checking that the martinis are as good as Bozeman's! The mosaic is being made in 5 pieces. I am setting as much as I can in the studio & leaving out tiles on the perimeter of each section & at strategic spots where it will be fastened to the wall studs. It looks like my work table is not going to be big enough!?!
lots of smalti flowers - This will be a wall piece 8' by 6'6". I have it laid out next to my studio (behind the curtain) so can keep track of how it is coming along flower by flower.
I am awaiting the go-ahead on a new, exciting project. Samples have been made & drawings approved. Here's to a productive and busy new year!
Ms Moose, created in a large (24x30ish) steel frame to hang behind a stovetop. The client wants to take her wherever she goes.
Just in time for snow, the final supporters tiles were installed.
Thanks to everyone involved; I hope the drinking fountain will be loved for many years. Tonight is the last ArtWalk for the season. Please join us at the McPhie cabinetry showroom for drinks and a look at my messy studio! Big Timberworks' design studio is hosting and there will be hor d'oevres from the lovely Aga.
