It's hard to describe a place like Morocco after only being there a few weeks. For a start the tradition & extent of tile & mosaic work is wonderful. Also street art, history and culture. There is a lot to explore.
That's Jackson Wyoming, for the Western Design Conference. Definitely one of the highlights of the weekend was meeting the wonderful Patricia Griffin. On the balcony of Rare Gallery above Jacksons Town Square she was bringing the prettiest cow to life, and was so inspiring and fun to talk with.
Portugal is a dream for tile lovers. From the National Tile Museum (in a convent!) in Lisbon, to the Roman site at Conimbriga there are a couple of thousand years worth of work to explore. And after going cross-eyed figuring out the beautiful cobblestone (dragons teeth!) streets, there is more coffee (port!) & pastry to investigate.
I have had a few problems with my e-mail server lately. Hopefully all is fixed now but sorry if your messages were bouncing back; and please try again?!
