The Paintbrush is in. Another gorgeous McPhie Cabinetry kitchen. And the outside was as stunning as inside; But what makes me really happy is; the mosaic matches the red knobs on the Wolf cooktop! (this is how we go from the studio to the site).

Moving right along on the Drinking Fountain. The mosaic base is almost ready for the bronze frog.
There will be a party on the 4th October. Please come! That's Jackson Wyoming, for the Western Design Conference. Definitely one of the highlights of the weekend was meeting the wonderful Patricia Griffin. On the balcony of Rare Gallery above Jacksons Town Square she was bringing the prettiest cow to life, and was so inspiring and fun to talk with.
A 9 hour drive in a big truck and some heavy lifting got the countertop to its new home. It is a beautiful spot on a small lake, I wish I could see the finished kitchen!
Steel frame (with under mount sink) fabricated by Big Timberworks at Gallatin Gateway. Smalti lettering edged in copper and accented with 24k gold tile on a travertine background. 11' x 42". I am getting close to finishing the big countertop (and close to the deadline). If anyone wants to come see it while it is in the studio, please do! I will be loading it up tuesday evening for an early morning departure on wednesday....
I am very pleased to be part of this show. It was certainly challenging to do my own work and not design to a clients brief.
Rita's Red Chair is a tribute to craftsmanship and friendship. approx 12"x14". Smalti & 24k gold. The frame was made out of a cheap broken chair embellished with milagros & millefiore. There is still a hand held shower to install & the glass. I love the lack of kerb on the shower. Also happy with the way the vanity came out - it is half of a vintage dining table with a seafoam limestone top.
The mosaic can be removed if the owner ever sells the house (it won't be easy but I try to think of everything!). Finished the Fern! Still agonizing over grout colour. Normally one wouldn't grout smalti but as this is going in a shower I will. It will be set amongst a creamy limestone. 14"x48". For my favourite person ever or else I would be keeping it.
Had a quick look at the new bathroom today; will go back next week & add a few more blossoms to the other walls. Hope to have time for a GFC while I'm at it.
